Whenever I get the "thinking" pop-up it stalls and never finishes thinking.
Anyone else have the same problem? I'm using Chrome, not sure if that has anything to do with it. |

This normally happens with older and longer problems (> mate in 3), when the applet tries hard to find a refutation to user's try. It simply takes too much time for us impatient humans.
That is why the applet was changed so that it will no more try to solve longer than 3 move mates automatically. For these problems the setter has to provide the solution and if solver makes a wrong try the applet simply says "Off path" and do not try to find refutation (.. and stuck thinking).
Unfortunately some of the old problems still suffer from "thinking disease". _________________ There are only three kinds of chessplayers - those who can count and those who cannot.... |

One thing that is absolutely undisputed in chess training philosophy is: solve tactical chess puzzles. |
